Mini villa, temporary housing project for Nilofar Architecture
In the Netherlands building grounds are often unused for a period of time. These grounds can be used to place temporary houses for for example starters or students. This would offer a solution to the housing shortage for this target group in the cities and at the same time solve the issue of the unused building grounds.
The Mini villa is a demountable house and contains everything you need such as shower kitchen and toilet. The villa’s can be placed detached from electricity or any other grid and can stand freely in a field just like real villa’s. The solar panels on the roof combined with the solar boiler and highly insulated walls and roof create a villa that is almost self-sufficiënt. The villa’s can also be linked toegther to create houses with larger floor area.
I worked on the project form concept design to construction calculation and detailing and was responsible for the visualisations and the promotion booklet.
